ABOUT US

The New Jersey Carpenter Contractor Trust (NJCCT) is the labor management trust established by the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey, Drywall and Interior Systems Contractors Association, Associated General Contractors of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Regional Council of Carpenters. The trust was created to preserve, identify and expand employment opportunities for Union Carpenters and their employers through industry outreach efforts.

 

 

 

OUR MISSION

The New Jersey Carpenter Contractor Trust strives to meet our goals by utilizing marketing, public relations, and industry outreach programs. The core of this effort relies on effective communication between labor and management, promotion of efficiency, competitiveness and safety to our industry partners, and the development of effective outreach programs to key decision makers in the designated construction industries.

Phil Cooney was hired as the Director of NJCCT in July 2001. As Director, Mr. Cooney developed the implementation strategy for launching NJCCT has the official labor-management cooperative serving the NJ Regional Council of Carpenters and their Union Contractor Employers. This effort included the development of the organization imaging, core program initiatives and overall industry outreach strategy. Since the inception of the Trust, Phil has been responsible for the strategic development associated with the AIA accredited Carpenter Workshop program, the recruitment plan for the Superintendent Career Training Program (SCTP), and the implementation of new-product market strategies which includes Insulating Concrete Forms and Abuse Resistant Drywall.

Phil has worked in the design and construction industry as a public relations and marketing specialist for the past 15 years.

 

 

Dannyelle Zywan, Program Coordinator

Dannyelle Zywan has been serving as Program Coordinator for the New Jersey Carpenter Contractor Trust since the winter of 2006. In her current capacity, Dannyelle's responsibilities include the coordination of all NJCCT program initiatives, advertising placement and web site activities. Dannyelle is responsible for running the industry acclaimed Carpenter Workshop series and acts as the liaison with the American Institute of Architects. In addition to her program responsibilities, she handles all financial and accounting functions for the organization.


Frank Speziali, Research & Special Projects Coordinator

As Research & Special Projects Coordinator, Frank is responsible for coordinating efforts associated with project lead tracking, collection of data for Carpenter Information Access, I-9 collection efforts, and various career day programs. Before joining NJCCT, Frank was an Assistant Researcher and PEC Coordinator for the NJ Regional Council of Carpenters. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Labor Management from Rutgers University.
